I hope this email finds you and your athletes doing awesome and gearing up for an exciting meet!

First off, news from our Head Official, Bill: we’ve decided to keep registration open through the weekend! The drop-dead deadline has now been moved to Monday, giving everyone a bit more time. Please encourage your athletes to get their registrations submitted as soon as possible so we can make this the best event yet!

We’re meeting with the Redding Aquatic Center facility admin on Monday to finalize all the details. We’ll share the spectator fee information directly from the center, along with clear guidance on complimentary admissions. Officials, racers/athletes, and volunteers will receive free admission — we’ll also confirm exactly how many volunteers from each team qualify for free entry.

The overall policies will be very similar to last year, with just a few adjustments due to the shifted registration and reporting timelines. Note: Our current meet sheet indicates setup can begin on Friday. I would like to get the teams in to set up on Thursday evening. I’ll know whether that’s possible and what time it will be allowed after our Redding Swim Team logistical meeting for setup, which will be early next week.

Heidi, our Clerk of The Course, is expecting the psych sheets to be out next Wednesday, and we’ll include timer assignments right alongside them.

Quick question for the NVAL: Sierra Nevada is providing bag tags for the swim meet, and they are being sent to the NVAL representative. Could you please help me connect with that person so we can properly distribute the bag tags to your swimmers?
